Right, let's get the boring legal stuff out of the way. Read it or don't, but you're bound by it either way. We've kept it as straight as possible.
🎯 What We Actually Are
We're NOT a gambling site. This is skill-based treasure hunting. No dice, no slots, no blind luck. Just your brain vs our clues.
YaChickenShit is a skill-based gaming platform where you solve puzzles, follow clues, and hunt for treasure using your noggin. Think escape rooms meets geocaching, but with proper prizes and a bit more attitude.
Every hunt requires:
- Problem-solving skills
- Research abilities
- Logical thinking
- Sometimes a bit of local knowledge
- The bollocks to see it through
No random number generators. No house edge. No rigged games. If you're smart enough and determined enough, you can win. Simple as.
💰 Money Matters
Entry Fees
You pay to enter hunts. That money goes into prize pools (minus our cut to keep the lights on). Winners get the pot. Losers get experience and hopefully a laugh.
What We Take
We keep a percentage of entry fees to run the platform, create hunts, and pay the bills. It's clearly shown before you enter any hunt. No hidden fees, no surprise charges.
Payouts
Win a hunt? Brilliant. We'll pay out within 3 business days via bank transfer or PayPal. You'll need to verify your identity first (anti-money laundering rules, not our choice).
⚠️ Only spend what you can afford to lose. If losing your entry fee would genuinely hurt, don't enter. We're here for fun, not to ruin your week.
🎮 How to Play Nice
Fair Play
Use your own brain. No bots, no AI assistance, no getting your clever mate to do it for you. We can usually tell when someone's cheating, and we take a very dim view of it.
Multiple Accounts
One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to game the system will get all your accounts banned and any winnings forfeit. Don't be that person.
Sharing Solutions
Don't spoil hunts for others by sharing answers publicly. Private discussions with mates are fine, but posting solutions online makes you a proper killjoy.
Abusive Behavior
We're all for banter, but harassment, threats, or generally being a nasty piece of work will get you booted. Life's too short to deal with arseholes.
🔞 Age & Location Restrictions
You must be 18 or over to play hunts with cash prizes. Family-friendly hunts might have different age limits, clearly marked.
Currently available in the UK only. We'd love to expand, but regulations are a pain. If you're abroad and somehow accessing this, you're on your own legally speaking.
Some areas might be restricted due to local laws. We'll tell you if that's the case.
📱 Your Account & Data
Account Security
Keep your login details secure. If someone else uses your account and loses your money, that's on you. Use a proper password, not "password123".
What We Collect
We collect what we need to run the service: email, payment info, hunt performance, basic analytics. We're not Facebook - we don't want to know your life story.
Privacy
We don't sell your data to dodgy marketing companies. See our Privacy Policy for the full details, but the short version is: we respect your privacy and only use your data to make the hunts better.
⚖️ Legal Stuff
Liability
We provide the platform and hunts, you participate at your own risk. If you get lost following clues, trip over while hunting, or have a mental breakdown because you can't solve a puzzle, that's not on us.
Our maximum liability to you is the amount you've paid us. We're not responsible if you lose your job because you spent all day treasure hunting.
Changes to Service
We can modify hunts, change rules, or shut down features if needed. We'll give reasonable notice unless it's an emergency. If you don't like changes, you can leave.
Disputes
Got a problem? Contact our support team first. If that doesn't work, any legal disputes will be handled under English law in English courts.
Termination
We can suspend or terminate accounts for breaking these terms. You can delete your account anytime through your profile settings.
🎪 Miscellaneous Bits
Intellectual Property
Our hunts, clues, and content belong to us. You can't copy them, republish them, or create derivative works. Screenshots for your mates are fine, setting up a competing service is not.
Updates to Terms
We might update these terms occasionally. We'll email you about significant changes. Continuing to use the service means you accept the new terms.
Severability
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. We're not trying to trick you with legal loopholes.
Bottom line: Be decent, play fair, don't spend money you can't afford to lose, and remember it's supposed to be fun. That's really all there is to it.
